Setting off from the Carmel of St. Teresa in Coimbra, the Carmelite Route is an invitation to reach the Shrine of Our Lady of Fátima, through 111 km that run through the municipalities of Coimbra, Condeixa-a-Nova, Penela, Ansião, Alvaiázere and Ourém.

This Route, which is divided into 6 stages, is a call to discover the territory, with its delightful landscape and culture.

The fauna and flora, hills and watercourses that one comes across offer, along the path, scenarios of immense natural wealth. One passes by typical villages and landscapes mitigated by fields and hills. The chapels that adorn the Route, the contact with the peoples, the historical and heritage sites, the local delicacies and the traditional know-how are excellent reasons to experience the Route.

As a path of Carmelite inspiration, this Route is also an invitation to spiritual development. For believers, it is a route that finds in the work and life of Sister Lúcia the inspiration for this journey. For all, it is an invitation to go on a personal journey in communion with the elements around us.

The Pilgrim of the Paths of Fátima credential is available to all those who walk the Path of Fátima.
